He has actively supported research labs at both the university and the Department of Health, delving into fascinating subjects like cognitive resilience, youth mental health, and person-to-data interactions. David's expertise lies in qualitative data collection methods, and he is determined to expand his skills in data analysis and implementation.
David has made significant contributions to various projects which include the Department of Health's health survey. He played a key role in participant recruitment and the collection of housing and employment data for thorough analysis. Alexis Morikawa
Alexis is a graduate of Punahou High School, class of '21, where she achieved honors and excelled as a scholar athlete in Air Riflery. Currently enrolled at Marist College in New York, Alexis is pursuing a major in Psychology, complemented by double minors in Communication and Cognitive Science. Her future aspirations include obtaining a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
At SMS, Alexis eagerly embraces a wide range of projects to expand and refine her skillset. She actively assists the Department of Health and CDC in data acquisition, offering valuable insights through data analysis for various surveys and housing initiatives. Alexis's unwavering commitment to her work and her passion for making a difference shine through in everything she does.
Ethan Murakami
Ethan is a distinguished graduate of 'Iolani School, class of '21, who is currently a rising junior at Emory University in Atlanta. Ethan's academic pursuits encompass a joint major in economics and human health, accompanied by a minor in global development studies.
At SMS, Ethan actively contributes to an array of projects that foster the development of valuable market research skills. Currently, he plays a pivotal role in data acquistion for health surveys at the Hawai'i Department of Health and CDC. Additionally, Ethan conducts comprehensive secondary research on sector partnership practices to benefit the Hawai'i Chamber of Commerce. His involvement also extends to data entry and cleaning, evaluating the effectiveness of Medquest, and leading recruitment efforts for a focus group of local business owners.
Kobi Kinoshita
Kobi is a senior at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in the Shidler College of Business, pursuing a degree in Marketing and Management Information Systems. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Kobi is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Kobi enjoys traveling, creating YouTube videos, and listening to Kpop. Her professional interests revolve around project management, data analysis, event planning, and social media marketing.
