Aloha, and welcome to the SMS Community Pulse Survey Dashboard. The interactive dashboard below is an information management tool used to track, analyze, and display data from previous Community Pulse Surveys.
The SMS Community Pulse Surveys are independent, non-sponsored surveys. The surveys are statewide surveys undertaken through a panel of Hawai‘i residents. All survey cycles had more than 400 completed surveys.
A probability sample of 400 plus completed interviews has a sampling error estimate of +/-5 percentage points at the 95 percent confidence level. Data were balanced to reflect the adult population of the State using the 2019 U.S. Census data.
Survey Collection Phases:
Phase 1: Survey was completed from May 5 to May 10, 2020,
Phase 2: June 11 to June 17, 2020,
Phase 3: July 31 to August 8, 2020,
Phase 4: October 19 to October 31, 2020,
Phase 5: May 18 to May 26, 2021,
Phase 6: November 4 to November 9, 2021
Phase 7: March 30 to April 11, 2022
To focus on specific segments, you can filter the data by using the boxes on the far left of each slide. For example, if you are interested in only Oʻahu residents, just click on Oʻahu in the top box, and the results for both Phase 1 and 2 will show Oʻahu only results.
Likewise, if you want only Oʻahu males, click on Male in the box below.
The other categories that can filter the data are Age, Ethnicity, and Household Income. Once you select a filter on one slide, all slides will change to reflect that filter.
